Up-Cycling T-Shirts

I love cheap projects so up-cycling things that would otherwise be discarded makes me very happy! I cut up lots of shirts to make yarn for my rugs – but now I have all these left over tops of shirts that I hate to send to a landfill. T-shirts make great rags but I can only use so many rags. I do not want to become a hoarder so I must find uses for the leftovers or part with them!
So today I made:

A catnip filled cat toy – I know it looks strange but my cat loved it.

A flower for a headband (the headband isn’t done yet but it too is made from the t-shirt leftovers.)

And a knit potholder.

I didn’t make a very big dent in my leftover pile but I sure did have fun!

  1. I’d like to thank you for the efforts you have put in penning this blog. I really hope to view the same high-grade blog posts from you in the future as well. In fact, your creative writing abilities has encouraged me to get my very own site now 😉
